I'm a ceramic artist maker, using ceramics in various ways, such as using explorations of science fiction, genetic engineering, and the work of Hieronymus Bosch to create curious speculative forms, which are neither vessel, nor figurative, but allude to elements of both.

Or narratives exploring themes, such as memory & loss, in 'Trace' and 'Bowl'.

Inspired by the tension between the perfect & imperfect,  I also find stimulus in the use of multiples, text, or mark making in my work. My work all have a material in common, in that  I work mainly in porcelain, often exploiting its translucent properties in the work.  The use of pure white porcelain acts in opposition to references of the organic, with its allusions to 18th Century tableware and its opulent embellishments.
