This work is called ‘trace’: the pieces are both present in themselves as objects, but, being shrouds of objects that are no longer present they become merely the echoes, or trace of them. Furthermore, they recall the people to whom those objects once belonged: my mother’s mirror & perfume bottles; my father’s glasses; & my grandfather's tools. Thus, the people are also ‘there’, but not there, referenced through association.
